Moving up, moving out

Wilhelmina, in an act of backhanded gratitude, hands over a client meeting to Marc while she's otherwise occupied.  He's thrilled.  I guess she does understand the concept of rewarding loyalty after all...

Speaking of loyalty, Betty tells Amanda that she's moving out of the apartment and back in with her family.  Amanda already knows.  "You're moving out.  Because your family needs you right now, and you're good like that."

Yes, she is.

Page Six

Daniel dodged a bullet with the whole Suzuki St. Pierre scenario, but Molly has shown up in the background of a tabloid picture of those twits from The Hills on vacation in St. Bart's.  Daniel's not in the picture, but who cares?   Sure enough, Connor spots the picture, and the wheels start turning in his mind...

A fancy gift for Marc

Marc receives a nice watch from Wilhelmina for helping Mode land the account, but he's still hurt and humiliated by her brush off.  "I expected gratitude, not attitude," Wili says.  "Getting thrown under the bus to make me look good is part of your job."

Man, what is Marc WEARING, anyway?

Apologies

Later that night, when all is quiet, Hilda gives Betty a haircut.  Betty feels terrible for not being there when Pops had a heart attack.   "I'm sorry I wasn't there that night, Hilda."  I think they're going to be OK.

At home with the Suarez family

Ignacio gathers his daughters together at the dinner table.  He can't stand that they're fighting over him, and he doesn't want to be a burden on them, so he's going to hire a part-time nurse to look after him.

"I can't control what happens to me," he says. "But I can control some things.  And I won't come between you two."  He's like, the best dad ever.

"You got me scared for no reason."

Hilda and Betty search for Ignacio at the hospital, and run into the Hotshot Cardiologist, who tells them that their dad is fine.  Hilda is super volcano TNT peed-off - she feels that the test in the city hospital wasn't necessary and is just another example of Betty being a control freak.  She takes Betty to task for prioritizing work over family.  Their argument is interrupted by a call from Justin - Ignacio is home, safe and sound.

Hilda stalks off, hurt and upset.

Thrown under the bus

Wilhelmina arrives late at the meeting with the Swiss Watch Queen, which Marc is handling very well.  She blames the delay on Marc and chastises him in front of the clients.

Not cool.

Marc the savior

The Swiss watch diva who is hoping to do an ad buy in Mode has lost patience - where is Wilhelmina?  Marc jumps in with a few well-practiced French sentences and offers to explain why they want to do business with their magazine.  The Watch Queen is impressed.

Meanwhile, Betty returns to the hospital - but Ignacio is nowhere to be found.  She calls Hilda, stressed:  "I think I just lost Dad."

The truth about Suzuki

In the backyard of his New Jersey home, Byron (aka Suzuki St. Pierre) grills some bratwurst and explains that he assumed the persona of bitchy queen Suzuki St. Pierre to get work.  Betty plays hardball - if he keeps Daniel's secret, they'll keep his.  Mission accomplished.  Now - back to the city!

Off to New Jersey

Betty runs off to New Jersey while Ignacio gets tested at the hospital.  She and Daniel show up in front of somebody's house and find out the terrible secret of Suzuki St. Pierre - he's a butch family man with a wife and a kids in the suburbs, not a metropolitan fashion queen.  BUSTED.
