Tonight’s Castle goes to a whole other space in time. See what Tamala has to say about singing Billie Holiday’s “Comes Love” in tonight’s episode of Castle 10/9c:

“ The day Andrew W. Marlowe walked into the hair and make-up trailer to ask me if I could sing, I instantly got nervous. I knew that here at Castle there is no time for nervousness so I replied "Yes, but in the shower," he chuckled a little & said," good we are doing a film noir episode & you will be playing a Billie Holiday-esque role." I was so delighted because I love Billie Holiday she is one of my true favorites!!!! When It came time to record, I had them dim the lights first because I didn't feel comfortable with me seeing them watch me, but once we got going, we had it down within an hour & a half, then we were done. I didn't stay to listen to what we put down, but I felt good about it. A week later the song was emailed to me from our composer & I was shocked!!! I don't want to toot my own horn, so I hope that the Castle fans/family will enjoy the song as much as I do." The Blue Butterfly," is going to be truly epic so I hope our fans/family are ready. It's brilliantly directed by Chuck Bowman, who was so inspiring to the sound of my voice in the song that I sang.” - Tamala Jones

J Mascis on tonight's Castle

Happy Halloween everyone. Tonight you’ll be able to hear J Mascis’ song “Too Deep” on Castle 10/9c. Below hear why using the song was so important to the show’s music supervisor, Tricia Halloran.

“J Mascis has been an integral part of my musical life since I was enlightened to the wonderful and mysterious world of indie rock via Dinosaur Jr's seminal 1987 album "Livin All Over Me" that was drenched in satisfying feedback and anchored by his distinctive emotional voice. But like Neil Young, J. Mascis can be louder than anyone or softer and more heartbreaking than most--his 2011 solo album "Several Shades Of Why" is quite and intimately powerful. It features the song "Too Deep" which was perfect for portraying the bittersweet feelings of Beckett, Castle, Alexis and Martha after they endure the bank hostage ordeal.” -Tricia

During the Academy Awards ABC aired a commercial for ABC's Castle. Fans of the show are many and have been sitting on the edge of their couches waiting to see Beckett and Castle develop a relationship. Well that hasn't happend and not only did this clip create buzz over the kiss, it created a swarm of questions by people trying to find out who the artist is.

The song came from our ABC library which is created by a pool of artist hired to write music for our promos and shows. The song is titled "Do You Wanna" and the artist behind the song is Bekah Driscoll (pictured above). Bekah has been performing since she was 16 years old and studied at Musician's Institute in Hollywood.

The Music of ABC's Castle

For those of you unfamiliar with the show, Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) shadows the every move of NYPD detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). She’s an aggressive detective who keeps her investigations under tight rein, and her feathers are oh-so-ruffled by Castle’s presence (in spite of the fact that she’s secretly a huge fan.) Amid incessant sexual tension and constant close talking, this flirtatiously-charged duo builds on their mixed-up relationship as they look to solve strange homicides in New York. Kids, this is as much fun as one can possibly have with death and murder!

Castle fans are plenty and ignite social media with discussions about the episodes, music and the possibilities of the relationship between Castle and Beckett.
