And <b>Patricia Heaton</b> is famous for being completely open about her flaws. <br /><br />Today is no different. She admits the single-camera format of <i>The Middle</i> has been a major adjustment: "When I did [<i>Everybody Loves</i>]<i>Raymond</i> I had kids. My acting style was efficient, we worked very fast... One of the reasons I felt good doing [<i>The Middle</i>] is that it’s single camera... a completely different animal... I can stretch myself as an actor." Unlike <i>Raymond</i>, she confesses, "There’s really no rehearsal in <i>The Middle</i>... I feel like I was floundering.
